I originally got this to be a garden fence, however, I have decided to use it as an outdoor play area for our guinea pigs. It's made of strong metal, and definitely feels like it will last forever. I can't wait for this crazy Midwest weather to break so I can put it up outside.
CAUTION - If you plan to leave a small dog (or other small animal) in this pen outside unsupervised for ANY length of time, make sure you cover it with something like a mesh shade cloth, or you could lose your pet to a bird of prey.
We recently received the SunsGrove dog playpen, and let me tell you, it’s been a total lifesaver for my little sister Brandi (yes, she’s the miniature dachshund, not my actual sister). Brandi may have tiny legs, but she’s got the speed of a race car when she wants to zoom around. So, we needed something that would keep her safe and sound while she worked on her potty training — because, unfortunately, our yard isn't fenced, and we live next to a busy road. Yikes!
This playpen is perfect! It has 8 panels, which makes it super easy to set up and move around. It’s the perfect size for Brandi — not too big, not too small. We can set it up in the sunshine, and she can sit there, feel the grass under her little paws, and do her business without any traffic worries. And when she’s done, we just move it to a new spot, so she can hang out and play while we enjoy some peace of mind (and keep our eyes on her).
While it’s not quite large enough for her to run laps, it’s perfect for allowing Brandi to hang out in safety, stretch her little legs, and enjoy the outdoors without the worry of her darting off too quickly.
We have a 41ft. Class A coach and I wanted something sturdy for my dogs to exercise in yet had a secure way to hold them in the ground and if I want to add on later I can. This product gives me all of that and more. The stakes go into the ground deeper than others do and if you want it on the bare floor they have tips covers. Also I ordered the 16 panel and it came with 2 gates. The gates have double locks and you must raise then together then pull the gate to open. It shuts and locks which i like a lot. I have a fox terrier and American cocker spaniel in this 32 in high pen. Pembroke welsh corgi’s would be fine as well. Each panel is light weight yet built well and the gates are extra wide which is another feature no one else has. I have bad knees and mobility can be. A challenge but this pen is the answer. I will order more panels probably 8 more. Very easy to assemble. The box is heavy when it’s all in there so get a man to help with that but you can handle the build out on your own. Functions well. Love it.
This is a sturdy playpen that stays into place, unlike the majority of collapsible metal playpens. I own two of the other models, there is no comparison in terms of sturdiness. It is easy to assemble, within 10 minutes you have it fully setup. I love that you can add or remove panels with ease, according to the need. I plan on acquiring two more panels to use as a gate.
This dog enclosure is a great product to keep your pet in a certain area in times when you cannot monitor them full time. The hardware is of decent quality and strong enough to prevent collapse if your pet pushes on it. However, if you are indoors don't expect this enclosure to stay in one place if your dogs really want to move. They will just push it along the floor unless you put heavy objects in front of it. If you have a small balcony on the ground floor, this will help prevent your pets from getting out and running away, and is a good use for this type of product. I have been using it for about a week, and it has rained three times and snowed once. So far there is no rust, or any sign of rust, so I anticipate this will last for several years at least.
